NEW ORLEANS YOUTH MAKING A CHANGE

MyHOUSE, a division of Brotherhood, Incorporated, is a safe haven for youth in New Orleans, Louisiana. Funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2001, MyHOUSE focuses primarily on HIV and STD prevention though outreach, discussion groups, group-level intervention,s social interactions and STD screenings. The program offers rapid HIV antibody testing, in which preliminary results can be issued in 20 minutes. All serviced associated with MyHOUSE are free and generally open to the public. The program targets youth at high risk for HIV, including men who have sex with men of color and young transgender persons of color.  The MyHOUSE facility is located at 3837 Ulloa Street and is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 12-8 p.m. The office number is 504-488-4740.
